Black and Orange Rice

How about adding some spooky feels to your food. We have brought to you a great combination of food recipe to go with this Halloween. Our black and orange rice bowl is a great combination for the ones who like to get the experimentation work around but in the meanwhile keep a tab on the healthy side as well.

Let’s see what all things would be required to make the spooky black and orange rice bowl.

Ingredients required:

Now, let’s know about the measurements

  • Take 3 cups of chicken stock/ vegetable stock
  • 2 cups Indian golden basmati rice
  • 3/4 cups of soaked whole black chia seeds, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cups of peeled and diced sweet pumpkin
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon of Himalayan pink rock salt - fine grind

Let’s get on with cooking

  • Place the saucepan on the stove and pour some chicken stock/ vegetable stock into it, bring it to a boiling point.
  • Add Rice, black chia seeds, pumpkin, butter and salt
  • Start to shimmer, and keep doing it for a while, after that, place the lid on the saucepan, and let it all cook on a shallow heat.
  • After about 20 minutes, check the rice for the tenderness.

Viola, you have a freshly cooked healthy black and orange rice bowl all set to be feasted on. Enjoy!
